MEET RACHAEL
Hello! It’s so good to see you.
“Two days before my fiancé died, he gifted me a workbook on how to write my story; his final gift of faith in my future. This is my journey—one of pain, purpose, and the power of writing to transform it all. I ask myself: What legacy does Ryan want me to leave?
One thing remains clear to this day.
He wants me to write.”
As a Pacific Northwest College of Art alum, Rachael Woodruff not only obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design and Illustration, but she also took every creative writing course available.
While this book grew from humble (and rather unhinged) beginnings, she understood, at around the six-month mark, that there was something more, something bigger meant for this content.
Over the past decade, Rachael has worked to sculpt therapeutic writing exercises and journal entries into a streamlined narrative, all the while envisioning a real talk, honest approach.
Her exploration looks at the crossover of psychology, grief, faith and redemption.
Just because a memoir goes to print does not mean it’s over.
Rachael lives in Washington with her husband and 92-lb Rhodesian Ridgeback. If she’s not editing her memoir for Editions 2, 3 or 4, she’s got her nose in a book, is crocheting or drinking vats of black iced tea.
